Some celebrity or fashion/style trend expert decided it was a great idea to bring back the denim-on-denim trend, and I’m not complaining at all. It was a favorite of mine back in the 80’s, although with a MUCH tackier feel than today. I remember pairing a denim shirt with acid-washed jeans and embellished denim shoes! And you know I had a denim handbag to complete the look. Plus denim jewelry. And maybe there was a denim scrunchie too… Talk about over-‘denim-ing’ it! Luckily my style has become a bit more ‘streamlined’ over the years. Gone are the tacky denim accessories but I still love a good denim shirt and a pair of jeans. Sometimes even together.
Recently I tried the look, paired with black and white striped accents, while heading out to run errands. Enjoy.
