Haute and about: What’s Haute at the UK Style by French Connection for Sears blogger brunch

I have to admit – I haven’t shopped at Sears since I was a pre-teen and only recently realized how many fashionable collaborations they have. Of course there’s the much-hyped Kardashian Kollection, but did you know that UK brand French Connection has a line at Sears too?

I recently attended a blogger brunch at The Breslin hotel where fashion and style bloggers gathered to preview the Fall 2011 UK Style by French Connection collection, which is available only at Sears. And unlike usual presentations, where you just walk around ‘ooh-ing’ and ‘aah-ing’ over the clothes, we got to play dress up! On the mannequins, that is. Each blogger was tasked with dressing a mannequin to represent what Kate or Pippa Middleton might wear. There was a rack of UK Style by French Connection clothes – tops, skirts, shorts, pants, dresses, jackets, etc. – plus a table of accessories (bags, earrings, necklaces and bracelets) to play with.

I decided to ‘dress’ Pippa, and dressed my mannequin in a short-sleeved sheer pussy-bow blouse, faux leather and fabric leggings, a silver circle necklace and a cream shoulder bag. You like?

The collection was super versatile. there were items that you could wear to work (like my outfit for ‘Pippa’), and fun stuff like faux leather shorts and leopard leggings. Plus there were tons of cool separates that you could mix and match. Each blogger left with a bag of goodies from the collection – and I can’t wait to rock mine! And, I’ll be checking out UK Style by French Connection at Sears. How about you?
