Last week I attended The Heart Truth‘s annual ‘Red Dress Collection‘ runway show, where celebrity women and designers come together to bring awareness to heart disease, which is the No. 1 killer of women). This year’s show kicked off New York Fashion Week and featured gowns by renowned designers like Reem Acra, Badgley Mischka, Carolina Herrera and Marc Bouwer.

Celebrity models included singer Toni Braxton, talk show host Wendy Williams, “Fashion Police” host Kelly Osbourne, reality stars Kris, Kendall & Kylie Jenner, actresses Brenda Strong, Roselyn Sanchez, Minka Kelly and Jamie Chung, news anchors Soledad O’Brien and Savannah Guthrie, Olympic Gold Medalists Gabby Douglas & Nastia Liukin, celebrity trainer Jillian Michaels. Also walking in the show was real-life inspiration, Cindy Parsons, who participated in The Heart Truth’s “Follow the Fifty: Models of Heart Health“.

Each model came out to the sound of a beating heart, with their personal inspiration on the screen behind them. They each strutted to a song picked by The Heart Truth, that represented them well.
