The annual Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art is one the fashion world’s biggest events (besides the Academy Awards and Fashion Week). It’s always a red carpet I look forward to because it’s really the chance for designers and their muses to ‘bring it’! This year’s theme is called “Punk: Chaos to Couture,” and it was created to show the impact of punk on high fashion. It is especially exciting for me, since punk is one of my personal style choices. So I was expecting to see lots of leather, studs and crazily mixed prints on the red carpet. Well, there were some…and others missed the ‘punk’ mark.
Check out what the celebs wore and decide for yourself if it’s high-fashion punk, or not! Plus, pre-order the looks straight from the red carpet right now, on Moda Operandi!
