Solange is a pro when it comes to rockin’ printed, menswear-inspired suits, but let’s be honest, not many ladies can pull off the look. Halle Berry and Ke$ha both rocked similar black and gold, brocade-style print suits, stylishly. But who wore it better?
Oscar-winning actress Halle first wore a black and gold brocade suit from the Balmain Fall 2010 collection to the premiere of her film Frankie and Alice. The suit gave off a seventies vibe with its tailored jacket and flared leg pants, and she paired it with a sheer black tie front blouse and pointed toe shoes. She rocked her signature pixie haircut.
Pop star Ke$ha was spotted heading out of Narita Airport in Tokyo this morning, also rocking a black and gold brocade pant suit. She wore the Baroque Velvet Blazer ($350 at Bloomingdale’s) and Skinny Velvet Brocade Pants ($198 at Saks), both by 7 For All Mankind. She accessorized her look, rock star style, with a large-brimmed black fedora with colorful trim, dark aviator sunglasses, several gold chains and penny loafers.
How do you like these ‘borrowed from the boys‘ brocade suits? And who rocked it hotter: Halle Berry or Ke$ha?
