Yarok Haircare: Food for your head. Good for the Earth.

Yarok Haircare Feed Your Hair products - shampoo, conditioner, shine serum, mousse, scalp serum
Recently I’ve been raving about my beauty finds at the 2012 International Beauty Show in NYC. When I attended the show this past April, the first booth that caught my eye was Yarok Haircare. The founder, Mordechai Alvow, talked to me about his all-natural, vegan hair care line while styling my curly hair into soft, shiny waves. Mordechai wanted to create a hair care line that was ‘Food for your head‘ as well as being ‘Good for the Earth‘.

Working out of his kitchen, he designed the Yarok line of products. Consisting of all-natural, botanically-based ingredients, Yarok Haircare is also paraben-, alcohol-, sulfate- and cruelty-free. Infused with essential oils, these products smell amazing and 3% of their annual profits goes to benefit The Pachamama Alliance which works to protect rainforests in the Amazon.

I was so impressed with this product line that I bought the entire kit so that I could try everything. I’ve been using the products for a month now and my hair is soft as silk, frizz-free and healthy! I start my hair care routine with Yarok Feed Your Youth Hair & Scalp Serum, which contains yarrow and avocado oil to keep hair hydrated and youthful. After leaving the serum on my hair for 10 minutes I wash it off with the Feed Your Volume Shampoo, and then follow with Feed Your Volume Conditioner. The natural blend of flowers, herbs, and essential oils visibly plumps fine and normal hair. After conditioning, my hair is super soft and I have no problem combing it out.

Afterwards, I style my hair with Feed Your Ends Leave-In Conditioner, which is a great heat protectant as well. I follow that by scrunching my hair with Feed Your Roots Volume Enhancing Mousse. I allow my hair to air dry, and then rub some Feed Your Shine Shine Serum onto my hair, which leaves a brilliant shine. My hair feels soft, strong and smells great!

Mordechai also operates a salon in Chelsea called Yarok Beauty Kitchen. With fans such as Ivanka Trump and Brooke Shields, it’s definitely a place you want to pay a visit. Check out the salon on 319 West 19th Street, Suite 610, New York, NY. You can also purchase Yarok Haircare products online at shop.yarokhair.com/ or buy Yarok Haircare at Amazon.
