If Target is a juggernaut for fashion designer collaborations, then Macy’s is the master at celebrity & celebrity-inspired designer collaborations. This month, Andrew Charles, a new rock and roll womenswear and menswear line designed by Andy Hilfiger, will launch exclusively for Macy’s Impulse in stores and of course, on Macys.com. The collection is mainly womenswear, with items like knitwear, denim and outerwear with rock and roll ‘treatments’ like lace and sheer fabrics, plus some printed snakeskin, all ranging from from $59 to $189.
Aerosmith vocalist and American Idol judge Steven Tyler will serve triple duty for the Andrew Charles brand. He’s the style icon behind the brand, and will serve as the continued inspiration for Andrew Charles’ menswear line. He’s also planning to develop a holiday accessory collection – “Steven Tyler Rock Scarf Collection” – for the brand. Tyler will also appear in the national ad campaign, alongside his daughter Chelsea (who pretty much looks like Liv‘s twin), and the pair will make personal appearances at select Macy’s locations nationwide.
