No, I\u2019m not talking about a new car, but a more convenient way to get around the city. I\u2019m talking about the <a href=\" https:\/\/goo.gl\/pSXceB\" rel=\"nofollow\">ofo bike share<\/a> program, now in D.C.! This weekend I had the opportunity to test out the bikes. I located a few near me very quickly, and headed over to try one out. Since there aren\u2019t any docking stations, it was super easy to find an available bike nearby. I downloaded the ofo app onto my iPhone, which provided me the most up to date location info on where to find a bike. I located a few near me very quickly, and headed over to try one out.<\/p>\n<p>Once I got to the bike, I simply hit \u201cUnlock\u201d on the app. It then takes you to a screen where you can scan the QR code found on the back of the bike. Once successful, you receive a passcode to unlock the bike. I entered my code and voila \u2013 the bike unlocked and was ready for me to ride! It has a basket in the front which is great for resting your bag, water bottle or other belongings while you ride. This was another thing I took note of because other bike share company bikes don\u2019t have anything but a metal grill and elastic cables on the front of the bike. Many a time I\u2019ve struggled to keep my water bottle tied to the front of the bike, and had to keep my bag on while I rode around. I didn\u2019t have those worries with ofo bikes \u2013 I could rest my things safely and easily and didn\u2019t have to think twice about them while I cruised around.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-30720\" src=\"http:\/\/WhatsHaute.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/ofo-4.jpg\" alt=\"Introducing ofo: My New Fall Ride\" width=\"1400\" height=\"1250\" srcset=\"http:\/\/WhatsHaute.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/ofo-4.jpg 1400w, http:\/\/WhatsHaute.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/ofo-4-590x527.jpg 590w, http:\/\/WhatsHaute.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/ofo-4-768x686.jpg 768w, http:\/\/WhatsHaute.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/ofo-4-1024x914.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1400px) 100vw, 1400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once I finished riding the bike, I took it back to the same spot where I retrieved it, though I could have locked it up and left it pretty much anywhere \u2013 just like I would if it were my own bike! When you&#8217;re ready to return it, you can either park it in one of ofo\u2019s \u2018Preferred Parking Zones\u2019, or any public bike rack. And ofo currently is running a promo in DC for free unlimited 2-hour rides through Oct. 22.
