Hey, lovelies!<\/p>\n

I LOVE the Christmas holiday season<\/a>, one of the reasons being that with all of the holiday parties, it’s the perfect excuse to get dressed up. As if I really needed a reason.<\/em><\/p>\n

As we get older, there seem to be fewer and fewer events throughout the year that give us an opportunity to get all glammed up: a wedding, maybe a random special event or two, birthdays, vacation, and holiday parties. Don’t you miss your childhood days when everyone in your class was having a birthday party or some other event? My mom always went all out in getting me dressed up in my finest clothes, putting special occasion ribbons in my hair, putting on my glossiest of patent leather Mary Janes and me getting excited about heading to the event to celebrate with my friends over fruit punch and cookies. Holiday parties are sorta the adult version of that, except we just replace punch with wine. \ud83d\ude09

I’ve got a series of holiday party looks<\/a> to share with you. The first is this outfit that you can wear to the office and straight to the party afterwards. Crushed velvet is always on trend in the Winter and this multicolored, print dress was a sure standout when I went searching for office-appropriate holiday party looks. I paired it with a structured velvet blazer I picked up a few years ago – it was one of those key pieces you’d always want to have in your closet and sure enough, it worked perfectly with this dress. The weather lately has been insanely warm so I didn’t need anything covering my legs, but it would look just as good with opaque black tights and black high heeled pumps.<\/p>\n
