\nDid you know that today is National Wear Red Day<\/strong>\u00ae? It’s a nationwide movement created to help fight heart disease – the number 1 killer of women<\/strong>. Last night I attended the annual Heart Truth Red Dress fashion show<\/a> at New York Fashion Week<\/a> (you can see some of my Instagram pics here<\/a>). The show opened with a speech from Star Jones<\/strong>, who shared her personal battles with heart disease. Representatives from Macy’s<\/a> (the title sponsor) and the American Heart Association<\/a> also shared statistics on heart disease, along with an inspirational video. For more than 10 years, the American Heart Association<\/strong> has sponsored National Wear Red Day\u00ae to raise awareness in the fight against heart disease in women.
