We all love to pamper ourselves. As hard as we work and as busy as we all are, who doesn’t deserve a mani/pedi, a massage, or some beauty or hair treatments? But let’s be real, who has the time? Between working, working out, eating, trying to stay hydrated, paying bills, spending quality time with loved ones and friends, oh, and getting some sleep, there’s barely time left to fit in a treat or two for ourselves. I know, I know – that’s what weekends are for. But personally I know my life has become so packed that it’s hard to even fit in a moment for some self-care sometimes.

That’s why whenever I do get the opportunity to take a little me time, I jump on it. I recently was invited to check out Glam+Go, a blow dry bar/hair salon specializing in fast blowdry services for busy women on the go. They have locations in Los Angeles, NYC, Miami and of course, DC. I headed over to the salon located inside the Fairmont Georgetown hotel. My stylist happily greeted me as soon as I walked in the airy space, and she wasted no time getting to my hair. She washed my hair using shampoo and conditioner from Glam + Go’s signature collection, R+Co: a gluten-free, vegan hair care product line.

Then she presented me with Glam+Go’s menu of styling options: “Hot Body” (bouncy hair), “Serious Curves (big, loose curls with volume and body), “Beach Body” (tousled waves), and “Straight & Sleek” (pretty straightforward). I went for the Beach Body waves – I love that tousled look. My stylist let me know the waves would last for days, and she was right. My hair looked great leaving the salon, but looked even better, day after day, lasting almost a week! The appointment was just under an hour, and the prices are super affordable so I’ll definitely be returning!
