It’s been a few years since I’ve worked in an actual corporate office environment, but when I did, dresses and skirts were always my go-to. I steered away from pants as much as possible, because it was always so difficult to find great looking work pants that fit me well. Curvy girls know the struggle – pants usually don’t fit at the waist, so there’s a large gap, and are often too tight at the hips and butt. But, over the years I have found a few retailers that DO make great pants that fit my curves well: Express, J.Crew and Banana Republic. And often, the waist is higher so there’s no gapping or revealing. When I spotted these Geo pants on Instagram a few months ago, I immediately fell in love with the print, and was excited to see that they were from Banana Republic. I was like “YASSSS – cute pants that actually will fit me!” Of course, working from home, I don’t really have a dire need for trouser pants. But because they’re really cute and they fit, I kinda felt I needed to add them to my wardrobe. If you’re looking for a great pair of Spring work-ready pants, these are for you! The slim fit is comfortable and chic, and the geo print is fun but still professional enough to rock in a corporate environment. I paired it with a hot pink silk blouse and striped trench coat for some print mixing and a pop of color. Add some sensible pumps and a black tote bag and you’ve got a work-friendly Spring outfit!
