butter LONDON has been rolling out a bunch of new product lines over the past year and one of my recent faves that they sent over to me is the Shadow Clutch! I recently used the Shadow Clutch to create this holiday eye makeup look in this post. I typically don’t wear eye shadow on a regular basis – I save the heavily made up eyes for special occasions. But the neutral palette is also great for every day wear, if wearing eye shadow every day is your thing.
The colors in the palette include several nude hues: a matte, off-white shade (Linen), a shimmery, warm beige (Quartz), a light, peachy coral with some sheen (Citrine), and a matte nude (Camel). Plus, there’s a shimmery olive green/khaki color (Camo) and a matte chocolate brown (Leather). For an everyday look, I’d recommend sticking to the nude colors. But to amp up your eye look, the khaki and chocolate brown colors add some deep, pigmented color, for a smoky eye effect. To create my holiday look, I used the entire Natural Charm color palette. I used the matte nude colors on the lid as a base, then brushed the shimmery Citrine hue on from the crease to the underbrow. I swept on the darker colors (Camo & Leather) near the outer crease, using tape as a guide to create a sharp line. I added a touch of Quartz above and under the tear duct for a little bit of extra shimmer. Then I topped it off with butter LONDON’s Wink Eye Pencil in Union Jack Black!
The Shadow Clutch also features the ability to mix and match shades. In addition to these colors, I received Wardrobe Duos in Fancy Flutter and Moody Blues. You can quickly and easily swap out colors in the Clutch by sliding the shadows out, two by two! It’s a really cool, customizable palette – you just pop in the ones you want for the day. Also, there’s a dual-ended brush inside so no need to carry extra makeup brushes if you need to apply your eye shadow on the go.
And it’s not just the eye shadow shades that have me excited! The packaging is really chic, too! The black, plastic case features a palm print etched into it that just looks so haute!
Have you tried butter LONDON’s Shadow Clutch? If so, what did you think of it?
