There are so many words I could use to describe New York. It’s the most exciting city in the world – full of fun, energy, opportunities, style, culture, great food and SO much more. There is no one word I could use to adequately describe New York, but there is a new clothing company that uses words to “tell the story of NY.” Commune and Memoir makes a line of T-shirts and tank tops that celebrate the spirit of New York City with the following words: elusive, pervasive, inexhaustible, abrasive, and idyllic, just to name a few. They sent over the “Elusive” Deep-V tank and I absolutely love it. It features the word and the following definition:
From Latin eludere
1. Hard to comprehend or define
2. Difficult to catch, find, or achieve
If I had to choose a word to describe NYC, ‘Elusive’ would be a contender. New York IS hard to comprehend or define because it is so many things. And it’s always on the move, so it IS difficult to catch, in a sense. How would you describe New York, in a single word?
