{VIDEO} Quick and Easy Halloween Costume: Jem

Even though the movie bombed, Jem remains one of my favorite childhood cartoon characters. I loved her style: the wild hair, the edgy makeup, the rockstar clothes; her singing career and the fact that she had an alter ego. Jem was cool, colorful and fun, and her love of the color pink matched mine. So this was an easy choice of Halloween costume for me. The centerpiece of the costume is a pink wrap dress which is great because you can wear it after Halloween too. I opted for this one from Nordstrom, paired with pink suede pumps I snagged on sale from Topshop last year. I added a pink wig that I got for $10 at Target. I don’t know about you but I plan on wearing it again. Who doesn’t need a pink wig in their life?! The accessories, including the belt and earrings, were made with love by my artistic husband and sister, respectively (thanks, guys). A little duck tape, silver fringe, cardboard stars and some stud earrings went a long way!
