I’ve previously waxed poetic about my love for butter LONDON’s cosmetics line so get ready for more love! I tried the LIPPY Bloody Brilliant Lip Crayon ($20) in ‘Ladybird’ but the brand sent over seven more shades for me to play with! And what better day to share my thoughts with you than on National Lipstick Day?!

As I mentioned before, the lip crayons glide on smoothly, almost with the consistency of a gloss, but the finish has the look of a creamy lipstick. And the color stays on your lips pretty long, too. In fact, as I was testing them out, it was hard to get each color off of my lips! Especially the darker shades, which stain a little bit more. But they’re great to tote along in your makeup bag and of course they come with a built-in sharpener, which makes touch-ups quick and easy!

Here’s how the seven shades look on me:

Described as an “opaque, light nude crème”

This shade is the nudest of nude lipsticks. It matched my skin tone almost perfectly so it looks like I’m not even wearing lipstick!

Described as an “opaque, light coral crème”

This is a shade that I can wear every day. It’s just a hint of salmon pink and I can add a shimmery gloss on top for evening.

Described as an “opaque, bubblegum pink crème”

This is a fun light pink. Perfect for summer and fun makeup looks.

This shade was my favorite. I LOVE an eye-popping hot pink lip and this color is just perfect!

Described as an “opaque, deep berry crème”

This berry shade would work well on multiple skin tones and the color is perfect for transitioning to a Fall makeup palette.

This is another great everyday lippie. The soft pink blends with with multiple makeup looks.

This shade is another beautiful berry color. I’d rock this well into the Fall and Winter as well.
