Citrus-y fashions are nothing new – remember Stella McCartney’s lemon-printed collection a few years back? But in fashion, what goes around comes back around again and this season, the sour fruit is back – on a slew of sweet little dresses!
For summer, we’re really digging these sunny, lemony printed frocks. They’re perfect for summer picnics, bottomless brunches, day parties and any other event that requires a chic dress! Our favorite two are the ones by Kate Spade and Ann Taylor.
For a splurge, we’re loving the kate spade new york lyric dress ($398). It’s a gorgeous frock, and is a sleeveless, fit and flare style made of 98% cotton and 2% spandex so it will give a bit.
The Ann Taylor Lemon Drop Sundress is a steal at $149 (now on sale for $119) and features spaghetti straps, a boatneck, pleated skirt and a concealed back zip. It is made of 100% polyester so it won’t stretch but it is true to size (comes in sizes 00-18). (Ed. note: I’m totally biased because I own this dress and it is one of my favorite pretty pieces! I just wore it the other day to see “A Raisin in the Sun” on Broadway and I can’t tell you how many compliments I received throughout the day!)
If neither of these dresses fit the bill, here are several other lemon printed options for you to try!
Banana Republic Lemon Print Fit and Flare Dress, $120
Dolce & Gabbana Lemon Print A-Line Dress, $1,395
