I always tend to get dressed around my accessories. Give me a new statement bag or pair of shoes and I can build my entire look around it! I was recently sent this Basta Milano Cognac Embossed bag to wear-test and review. I immediately fell in love with the cognac hue, ostrich-style leather, and its perfect size. (You can read my full bag review later, here.) I couldn’t wait to rock the bag and when I did, I chose to wear a mostly monochrome look to match it, consisting of various shades of camel and cognac, including a hat, coat and heels, plus a striped top with camel accents. (Side note: I’ve realized that I’m one of those people who tends to be drawn to more solid colors and monochrome looks, but I really want to challenge myself to do more print and color mixing.)
Here’s what I’m wearing:
-H&M floppy camel hat (similar option here)
–Prada Baroque 55mm Round Sunglasses
–M·A·C Lipstick in ‘Chili’
–Ellen Tracy ‘Walker’ coat (similar options here and here)
-Marc by Marc Jacobs Chinati Sweater via TJ Maxx (similar options here, here and here)
–Basta Milano Cognac – Embossed bag (c/o)
–Express High-Rise ankle jean legging
–Saint Laurent Classic Tribute Two slingback pump (get them in black here)
