I can’t determine if these are totally genius, totally crazy, or both! But let me introduce you to this fashion hybrid I just found: Tamara Mellon’s Sweet Revenge leather legging boots. They are basically leather leggings and thigh-high boots, all in one. Think of them as sort of a very luxe, adult half-onesie. The designer (formerly head of Jimmy Choo) describes them as “a thigh boot that pulls right up into a legging.” She also says “you can wear a sweater over it or a big man’s shirt and there’s no gap.” I can think of occasions where they’d be perfect (like, say, Thanksgiving dinner). And occasions where they’d be less than ideal (say, at a friend’s house where you’re asked to remove your shoes.) Does that mean I have to take off my pants too?!
