So you’ve nailed your holiday makeup look – but what are you going to do with your hair? I tend to wear my hair wavy, curly or in a ponytail. I wanted something different to wear for the holidays, and found some really pretty hairstyles that would look wonderful this winter season. Want a chic a New Years Eve look? Give some of these styles a try.
One look I really love is accessorizing your hair with a pretty piece of jewelry, such as a vintage brooch. Pull your hair back into a loose braid. Then pin it into a messy bun and secure a brooch into the bun with a few pins. This is a pretty style if you are wearing a gown and it’s really easy and quick to achieve.
If you want to wear your hair down for a more casual party, how about sleek side swept waves? I love this look, especially when hair looks really healthy and shiny. Wash and condition your hair and apply a heat protectant before styling. Blow dry your hair straight with a deep side part. Using a 1 inch curling iron, create waves by sections. Secure hair behind your ear on one side and then brush the curls into one uniform wave on the other side.
I love ponytails and you can still wear one when you want to dress up. Just pull it down to the nape of your neck for a more elegant look. Start by using a shine serum on dry hair. Then pull the hair into a loose, low ponytail. Secure with elastic, and then tie a short velvet ribbon for an elegant touch.
I hope you will give these holiday party looks a try this winter. Having a stunning hairdo really completes your party look!
Have a happy and beautiful New Year!
