I woke up bright and early on May 4 for the annual Nordstrom Spring/Summer Beauty Trend Show. This year, the theme of the show was ‘Get Gorgeous‘. And I loved seeing all the gorgeous, new trends in makeup and beauty. Plus I like that Nordstrom has the runway show before the store even opens! I took my front row seat at 8 a.m. and noticed the wonderful energy coming from everyone in attendance. Nordstrom’s Regional Beauty Director, Laksmi Sam, was an amazing host, introducing each makeup line presented on the runway, as well as offering some of her favorite beauty tips.

One of the new lines to my local Nordstrom is Lancer Dermatology skin care. This skin care line is one of Oprah‘s favorites and their 3-step ‘The Method‘ is exclusive to Nordstrom. The steps are: 1. Polish, 2. Cleanse, 3. Moisturize. After using this, you will love how beautiful your skin will look by just following these three basic steps.

Dior got my attention when they showcased their Capture Totale ‘One Essential’ Skin Boosting Super Serum. By adding this serum to your current skin care routine, it will make the rest of your skin care work 4 times better! I am going to be adding this serum into my beauty routine and can’t wait to see the improvements in my skin.

Laksmi is a Dior fan and one of her top beauty picks was Dior’s Diorshow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum, which you can use both day and night as a mascara primer and lash booster. It contains a unique cell-conditioning complex that encourages lash strength and promotes growth.

Laksmi also raved about Chantecaille’s Pure Rosewater. Created from rose petals that are picked each May in France, this product is made up of 99% botanicals and is healing, hydrating, and wonderfully therapeutic. You spritz the rosewater on your face after cleansing and whenever you want to freshen up. In addition, Chantecaille’s cosmetics are made with this rosewater whenever possible. If you haven’t seen their Save the Sharks Palette, you will want to check it out for summer. It is exquisite with shades of coral, blue and sandy grey that are perfect for spring and summer’s hottest looks.

If you love Crème de la Mer, you will love their Moisturizing Soft Cream for summer. I tend to prefer the Moisturizing Gel Cream because it’s lighter, but now that I’ve tried the Moisturizing Soft Cream, I’m hooked! This weightless, smooth cream penetrates deeply to strengthen and rejuvenate skin. I wake up with flawless skin when I use La Mer’s Moisturizing Soft Cream!
