My first job as a teenager was at my hairdresser’s salon, which was perfect because I’ve always been obsessed with my hair and hair care products. To this day, I’m always excited to try out new products, especially those designed for African American hair.
Pantene recently launched two new collections specially formulated for African-American hair: Truly Relaxed and Truly Natural. I relax my hair several times a year so I was looking forward to trying items from the Truly Relaxed line. So when Glam Media sent me Pantene’s Truly Relaxed Moisturizing Shampoo, Moisturizing Conditioner and Pro-V Oil Crème Moisturizer, I was excited to try them out!
I wash my hair about twice a week (any more than that and it gets super dry), so I swapped out my usual shampoo and conditioner for Pantene. Pantene’s Pro-V Truly Relaxed Shampoo is specially designed to gently cleanse relaxed hair, and that it did. Some shampoos tend to strip my hair, making it feel super dry and weak, but after using Pantene’s, my hair felt moisturized and strong.
Next, I used Pantene’s Pro-V Truly Relaxed Moisturizing Conditioner, which is enriched with coconut and jojoba oils. I applied it (with extra on the ends) and left in on for a while, as I usually do with my conditioner to really let it soak in and enrich my hair. After washing it out, my hair was easy to comb through.
Then I applied Pantene’s Pro-V Truly Relaxed Oil Crème Moisturizer which also has an oil-enriched formula designed to moisturize, defend against damage and dryness, and leave hair shiny, silky and soft.
I’d say it worked well, right?
