Remember a little while ago when someone in Beyoncé‘s camp accidentally leaked images from a photoshoot in the Bahamas? And the Beyoncé for H&M rumors began? Well it’s been confirmed today! H&M has tapped Beyoncé to star in its summer advertising campaign including TV commercials, print ads and billboards which read, “Beyoncé as Mrs. Carter in H&M.” Plus the multi-talented entertainer also helped to design looks in the collection, which includes “the perfect body-con dress”, a beach gown with a thigh-high slit, a sleeveless shirt and high-waist shorts.
Ann-Sofie Johansson, head of design at H&M said of the collection, “They are full of her own personal style.”
Beyoncé commented, “It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island. It felt more like making a video than a commercial.”
The print ads were shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin in Nassau, Bahamas, and the commercial directed by Jonas Åkerlund features a new Beyoncé song called “Standing on the Sun.”
The collection will be available in stores and online this May.
