I couldn’t get to the Roosevelt Field Mall fast enough when the new Lush store opened. I’d never used Lush products before because this is the first store in my area. You could smell the store from the mall corridor, and once inside, it was a mecca for delicious handmade bath and body products. They even have cosmetics now too!
I loved that you could give products a try before buying. They have a bubble bar where you can test out bath bombs and body washes, and many other unique items like solid face serum, solid shampoo and conditioners, massage bars and much more.
I stocked up on a lot of different products to try them out, and so far I’ve loved them all. My favorite is the Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub. I’ve been using it to exfoliate my face a few times a week, and the results are great. It smells amazing, is gentle but effective, and leaves my skin soft and clean.
I also tried some of their soaps, namely “Rockstar” and “Honey I Washed the Kids”. Both lather up wonderfully, smell awesome, and leave my skin softly scented and hydrated. I find them a little difficult to store, so I’d recommend investing in some soap dishes and leaving the bars away from too much humidity.
After bathing, I found heaven in the Wiccy Magic Muscles Massage Bar. This bar is made of cocoa butter and infused with peppermint and cinnamon oils. It’s also topped with Aduki beans to help stimulate circulation. Rubbing this bar over your body is amazing after a bath or shower. I love the intense smell, and my skin is left feeling like silk and super moisturized. The beans add a nice texture and if you have sore muscles this would be a great bar to try. The bar gets a little melty, so I’ve been storing it in the fridge.
My kids love the Whoosh Shower Jelly; it’s like Jello in the shower! It lathers up nicely and smells very citrusy and fresh. A little goes a long way too!
The solid Gorilla Perfume in Karma is the signature Lush scent. By its description as a spicy citrus I didn’t think I’d like it, but once I tried it I was totally addicted. It’s very easy to carry around, and will be perfect for travel – and the scent is intoxicating!
I can’t wait to head back to Lush for some more goodies. If you’ve never given their products a try, take a look at their website, Lush.com, so you can check out the products that would work best for you. Their bath bombs are amazing, as are their soaps. I will be checking out their Emotionally Brilliant Cosmetics and I’ll let you know more about those too.
