The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is in full-swing right now, and there are many great beauty exclusives. The makeup palettes being offered are geared towards fall in gorgeous hues of purples and mauves. There are bright lip options and lovely floral and fruity scents. The sale also includes plenty of your old favorites that are great to stock up on now!

My local Nordstrom store at Roosevelt Field Mall threw a Beauty Bash on the first morning of the Anniversary Sale. Held before store hours, the bash featured makeup artists and the beauty exclusives on display. Food and drink was available while women were treated to makeovers in anticipation of the shopping that morning.

I really fell for the makeup offered by Dior. A gorgeous collection titled ‘Purple Revolution’ consisted of an Ultra Gloss in Draped Violet, a smoky violet Eye Shadow Palette, Dior Exstase ‘Plum’ Mascara, and three gorgeous hues of violet nail lacquer.  I purchased the whole collection and I can’t wait for fall to create some pretty looks with the cosmetics.

Trish McEvoy has launched a beautiful new eau de parfum called ‘Precious Pink Jasmine’. It is a wonderful fragrance blend of citrus and florals and I definitely wanted to splurge on this parfum. The scent is intoxicating and it’s perfect to start using now for summer and into fall. If you are looking for a scent that will lift your mood and leave a beautiful scent as you walk by, check this one out!

I also really love the MAC Illustrated collection, featuring cosmetic bags designed by illustrator Julie Verhoeven. Lip sets, makeup brush sets, and eye palettes are available in different colors all housed inside a pouch decorated with Julie’s colorful, graphic faces. I especially love the makeup brushes – they are a great set for the price and perfect to throw in your purse or display on your vanity.
