My daily makeup routine is fairly simple – I cleanse my skin, moisturize and go! But for special occasions I do like to add some light coverage, so I was excited get the opportunity to try the L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup foundation.
To find my shade, first I downloaded the True Match Matchmaker App on my iPhone. I went through a series of questions about my skin tone, hair and eye color, and then it helped me pick the best shade for my skin color. And I was excited to find out my celebrity match – Liya Kebede. Love her! Anyway, I headed to my nearest drugstore to pick up my suggested match but it was sold out, so I grabbed a similar tone – Soft Sable C6. I also picked up L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Powder in Caramel Beige W7.
When I got home, I decided to give the makeup a try. I only put it on half of my face so I could compare the differences between the natural and made-up face. It turns out they were pretty similar! I first applied on the right side of my face, a light layer of the foundation, which turned out to be a perfect fit for my skin tone. Plus I loved that it covered some minor imperfections – like some dark marks and breakouts. It went on very light and I loved that it didn’t dry my skin – it actually blended in pretty well and didn’t feel chalky or sticky to the touch. Next I applied a light layer of powder on T-zone areas to control shine. The powder went on fairly sheer – so much so that I almost couldn’t tell the difference between the made-up part of my face and the natural part. What do you think? Can you tell the difference?
Overall I was really pleased with the L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup foundation. It’s perfect for everyday wear, and I plan to wear it alone, under the powder or as a base for other makeup. And it’s definitely great for light coverage over blemishes and breakouts.
