The New York City lifestyle is pretty much unlike any other in the United States. I was born and raised in Philadelphia so I’m used to big city life, but nothing can truly prepare you for the daily hustle and bustle of New York, until you actually live here and experience it. In this city there’s plenty to stress over and worry about, but that does no good – it’s just New York! Yes it’s crazy, it’s busy, it’s pushy – and did I mention it’s crazy? But it’s also exciting, vibrant and fun. So instead of worrying and stressing over all of the things to worry and stress over in NYC, instead I look at each day as a new adventure in my adopted city.

I start off the day with my simple morning beauty routine, check the weather, get dressed and off I go. I make a stop at one of my favorite local breakfast/coffee haunts. Starting the day with a great cup of coffee and a good meal does wonders for boosting my mood, energy levels and motivation to get the day started. Throughout the day I may have one or many things to do – catching up on writing, running errands, responding to emails, running to appointments, previews, and/or parties, plus meeting up with my hubby or friends for dinner – and I keep it all organized using my phone. I often wonder what I did before the age of cell phones! (Yes, I remember the days before cell phones existed). Having everything organized in my phone helps keep me on schedule, which helps eliminate the need for worry so I don’t have to continually ask myself those reminder questions like “Did I forget to do ____?,” “When was that appointment?,” or “Did I respond to his/her email?” The only real worry I have now is making sure I don’t leave my phone at home!
