Alexander McQueen has done it again – created a pair of shoes that are both utterly amazing and highly impractical. The Fall 2011 collection features mostly wearable shoes, but these Alexander McQueen Metal Wedge Sandal look like they have a place in the “Savage Beauty” exhibit. These white leather and shiny silver metal wedges measure in at 5.5 inches but the slope of the sole plus the sculptural look of the shoe give the illusion that they’re much, much higher. We can only imagine the likes of Beyonce, Gaga and Beckham taking on this shoe challenge, on the red carpet at a major awards show, or more likely in video form. We’re happy to just admire them from afar.
