There is nothing more powerful than two major fashion forces and a team of the industry’s most influential designers coming together to support a cause. eBay and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) collaborated to raise awareness against counterfeit goods. The “You Can’t Fake Fashion” tote bag campaign launches today on the eBay Fashion Vault. eBay and the CFDA produced a collection of 50 exclusive totes customized by America’s top designers including 3.1 Phillip Lim, Anna Sui, Badgley Mischka, Botkier, Catherine Malandrino, Helmut Lang, Naeem Khan, Rachel Roy, Rebecca Minkoff, Stuart Weitzman, Tracy Reese and Tory Burch, to name a few. See all the participating designers here.
“Counterfeits are a critical issue to CFDA, eBay and the fashion industry at large,” said Steven Kolb, CFDA Executive Director. “We’re excited to collaborate on this important campaign to educate consumers on the dangers of counterfeits and emphasize the importance of original design.”
In addition to the one-of-a-kind, customized designer totes ($150), there are limited-edition “You Can’t Fake Fashion” tote bags ($35), both on sale now on eBay. All proceeds will benefit the CFDA Foundation.
