Never have we loved neutrals so much. Max Mara‘s 2012 resort collection consists of primarily tan, black and white, with minimal touches of red, but the collection still is so rich and full of life. The sophisticated collection features separates for the career-minded woman, as well as the one who jetsets around the world. We’re equally in love with the colorblocked neutral dresses, tailored shifts, flared white pants, floral print caftan-style shirt dresses that double as grown-up maxi dresses, collarless tunics and a structured trench with leather trim. The collection has a decidedly 70’s vibe, which we’re so into right now, and was inspired by Jean-Luc Godard‘s ‘Breathless‘.
