Beauty essential: the Stila Smudge Pot

Out of New York Fashion Week come goodie bags from fashion shows, filled with beauty and other products for editors to try. Designer Rebecca Minkoff partnered with Stila Cosmetics for several seasons to do the makeup for the models at her presentations, so naturally inside the goody bags were some Stila products. I have friends who have been longtime fans of Stila but I personally never tried the products until recently. One item I now cannot live without is the Stila Smudge Pot. Where some traditional eyeliners fail the Stila Smudge Pot steps up to the plate. It’s a creamy, gel eyeliner/shadow duo so it does double duty on your eyes, giving it all sorts of eye effects, like smoky eyes to cat-lined eyes. You can pile it on thick, or keep it sheer, but it goes on smooth and stays on until you take it off with soap and water or makeup remover. I’m partial to the black but it also comes in kitten (prime), cobalt blue, jade green, gray, bronze, brown and black cat. If you love to play up your eyes, the Stila Smudge Pot is a must-have!
