St. John Fall 2011 collection #NYFW

St. John always exudes the aesthetic of a classic and carefree woman who lives for vacationing in, well, St. John, or some other fabulously chic Caribbean isle. But since this was the Fall collection, it was a touch more appropriate for perhaps Vail. We previewed the Fall 2011 collection which was full of belted coats (in leopard print and snow white), chubby fur jackets and fur stoles, cognac-colored leather gloves and belts, chic sequin maxi skirts and satin dresses and jumpsuits. The pieces alternated between classic every day looks alongside sophisticated evening wear. The collection included hues of primarily black, gray and white, with touches of brown, red and pink satin. It was incredibly sophisticated and ultra chic – the epitome of the St. John woman.
