For as long as I can remember, I’ve worn Timberland boots. I first wore them when I went camping and hiking as a Girl Scout. I’ve donned them to and from snowy winter treks to class throughout high school and college. I’ve worn them to work on even more snowy days. They’ve always been the most dependable, element-proof boots I turned to. But over the years, Timberland boots have become more versatile. They’re not just for bad weather anymore, as they’ve gotten a lot more stylish and their new Earthkeepers collection is full of boots you’ll want to wear all year long. I recently received a pair of the Timberland Earthkeepers Bethel Buckle Tall Zip Boots (in Bitter Chocolate) and I just couldn’t wait for an excuse to wear them. They’re gorgeous, comfortable and slightly rugged, which equals the perfect combination in a boot, for me. Think your traditional riding boot matched with Timberland’s sturdy all-weather leather, plus a bit of eco-friendliness and this is the boot. The boot is made from a combo of premium leather and soft nubuck, with a leather-covered footbed to keep your feet comfortable. The boot also feature an elastic panel and side strap with a buckle around the calf so you can easily adjust for your comfort. And for the earth-conscious, the boot lining is made of 100% recycled printed PET and the rugged soles are made with 5% recycled rubber.
Of course after taking my new Timberland Earthkeepers boots out for a few spins, I’m partial to them. I’ve already worn them several times – paired with a flowy dress and leather jacket, and with skinny pants and a cocoon sweater. But there are a few other pairs I’ve got my eyes on too. Which are your faves? If you’re in New York tomorrow, come and check out the boots in person at the Timberland SoHo store!
