In fashion, it seems that one designer finds a formula that works and everyone else goes with it. One such trend is the mock ‘croc’ rain boot, or Wellie. The Hunter Boot for Jimmy Choo croc Wellie was the first one i remember seeing and coveting but at the price ($295 at the time, $425 now), it was insanely out of my budget. At least for a rain boot. I opted instead for a pair of regular Hunter Wellies, at the low(er) price of $120. Then I learned of Pour La Victoire’s croc ‘Rus’ rain boot, which I also own (courtesy of PLV). This comfy boot was slightly less than the Choo/Hunters at $220 (now marked down to $103.96 at 6pm.com). This season the Christian Siriano for Payless ‘Storm’ Rain Boot made its debut. And this perfectly named Wellie is much more moderately priced at $49.99.
