We love pop art. And we live for shoes. So we’ll be saving up our pennies to live in these eye-popping, arty heels from the Nicholas Kirkwood x Keith Haring shoe collection.
The famed shoe designer said he was inspired by Haring‘s work after watching the documentary, The Universe of Keith Haring. He stated, “I couldn’t stop thinking about how amazing and prolific he (Haring) was and how great it would be to incorporate his graphics into my designs. So I ended up approaching the Keith Haring Foundation. I had to really sell them the product, but I think they’re pretty happy with the end result.”
The 12 style collection includes Kirkwood’s first ballerina flat, as well as some daring heels. It’s not available until February 2011, but during London fashion week, Kirkwood will launch an online pop-up shop so fans can buy pieces from his previous collaborations with Rodarte, Erdem, and Peter Pilotto.
We’re wondering what the prices will be but since they are truly works of art, we’ll be prepared to spend big!
