When it comes to my face, I like to keep it simple. I usually prefer just a light moisturizer, a shimmery lip gloss and occasionally, a bronzer. I love looking au naturel, so I’ve never been too fond of foundation and powders that make me look too pasty or fake. Until now. CoverGirl launched its Queen Collection about a year ago, specifically created for women of color, by Queen Latifah and makeup artist Roxanna Floyd. And they recently unveiled the CoverGirl Natural Hue Mineral Makeup collection. After I got ColorMatched, I tried the pressed powder and bronzer which are both enriched with minerals, and I was surprised to see how easily they both blended with my skin tone and gave it a nice natural glow and great coverage. The makeup has shine control so it’s especially important for women like me with combination skin – it keeps my skin looking even and natural while keeping shine under control. The pressed powder goes on smoothly and evenly, and the bronzer adds a glowing kiss to my cheeks! For a girl who’s not a huge makeup junkie, I must admit I’m hooked, and looking quite easy, breezy and beautiful, if I say so myself!

I have combination skin, oily on nose and forehead. I don’t like to wear foundation on a daily basis. I prefer a natural looking pressed powder which controls shine, eyeliner, and lipstick, sometimes blush. My skin tone is medium dark. I’d love to try the CoverGirl Natural Hue Mineral Makeup.
I’ve tried CoverGirl Clean Pressed Powder in Soft Sable and found the color to be too dark for my skin tone but I did love the clean fresh feel.

I have dark marks on my cheeks so I use a concealer and foundation. I have oily skin so I have to use powder every so often.
