Last night I attended a Fall/Holiday Preview hosted by Levi’s Jeans at their Union Square store. Sponsored by Glam Media, the event featured three of my favorite things: champagne, cupcakes and curvalicious denim. Sales associates, Glam representatives and even a seamstress were on hand to assist me and other fashion bloggers.
Carol was my fabulous associate. She explained to me, in detail, all of the denim styles, fabrics, sizes, etc. After I selected about 20 pairs of jeans (mostly skinny, a few twisted straight-legs and some wide-leg trousers), she set me up in the dressing room to try them on. But first, I was interviewed (on camera, yikes!) by a Levi’s rep who wanted to know why I loved the brand. Why? Mainly because they hug my curves nicely!
I finally settled on a pair of Levi’s® {re-issued} 1966 Skinny Jeans in ‘Rachel’ – a dark denim color. For an hourglass-shaped curvy girl like me, finding a pair of jeans that fit perfectly is no easy task. But these jeans fit like a second skin and accentuate my curves very nicely. The texture of the jeans is super-soft and the denim has a subtle high/low contrast throughout. I also love that they’re high-waisted – not so high that it looks like I’m wearing an extra-wide belt, but high enough that I’m not inappropriately flashing anyone when I sit down. And the stretch of the jeans is just right (98% Cotton, 2% Elastane).
Before leaving with my fabulous new pair of jeans, I stopped to chat with a few of Glam’s team as well as some of the fashion bloggers, including Adriana of The Fashion Bomb, who also picked up the same pair! I guess great fashion bloggers think and buy alike!

Aren’t they just fantastic jeans? I’ve already worn mine twice!
It was great to see you, as ever. Here’s my reciprocal post, which i think I left on your FB wall: http://www.the-fashion-bomb.com/2008/10/nyscene-levis-fallholiday-preview.html
