\nBalmain<\/a> announced Tuesday that Olivier Rousteing<\/strong> has been appointed designer of its women’s and men’s ready-to-wear collections. He will replace Christophe Decarnin<\/a> who recently exited<\/a> the French fashion house. Yes, Rousteing has model good looks, but there are five other things you should know about him:<\/p>\n

1.<\/strong> He is a graduate of the Paris fashion and art school ESMOD<\/strong> (l’Ecole Sup\u00e9rieure des Arts et techniques de la Mode)
\n2.<\/strong> He’s from France and speaks multiple languages
\n3.<\/strong> He has been in charge of the women’s wear design studio at Balmain since 2009
\n4.<\/strong> He worked in design at Roberto Cavalli<\/a> for five years
\n5.<\/strong> He joins the ranks of previous Balmain RTW designers: Gilles Dufour<\/strong>, Andrew Gn<\/strong>, Laurent Mercier<\/strong> and Christophe Lebourg<\/strong><\/p>\n
