\"Holy<\/a>In runway to real-way news, Gap<\/strong> announced it is teaming up with VALENTINO<\/strong>(!!!) to create a women’s capsule collection, designed by creative directors Maria Grazia Chiui<\/strong> and Pier Paolo Piccioli<\/strong>. But don’t whip your credit cards out just yet \u2013 the November launch is international only. Set to coincide with the opening of Gap’s Milan flagship store, the collection will only be available there, at Colette (in Paris), and in London at the Dover Street Market and the Gap London flagship store.<\/p>\n

Chiuri and Piccioli said: “We are very pleased that Gap thought of us as a partner for this intimate project, as it brings together the iconic world of Valentino and Gap’s fashion essentials. In this way, Valentino and Gap synthesise the current trend of combining luxury with basics.”<\/p>\n

Stephen Sunnucks, president of Gap in Europe, said: “We’re thrilled to be welcomed by the house of Valentino, with its unique position in Italy’s fashion heritage and to work with Maris Grazia and Pier Paolo, and their modern, fresh take on women’s style.”<\/p>\n

If only we lived abroad! We’re pretty excited about this collaboration. Gap has struggled a bit over the past few years in an effort to regain its retail footing but they’ve had some nice collaborations with Patrick Robinson<\/strong>, Mulberry<\/strong>, Stella McCartney for Gap Kids<\/strong>, and Pierre Hardy<\/strong> (remember these lovely spring Gap Design Editions floral bow wedge sandals<\/a>\"Gap?) but what do you think? Do you think this is an upgrade for Gap but a\u00a0downgrade for Valentino? Will you be buying?<\/p>\n
