What are your go-to clothing colors? My default is black, of course. It’s my safe color – the one I feel the most comfortable in, whether it’s a black jacket, top, jeans and boots, or a black cocktail dress. Wearing black is a habit, especially in the winter when it’s dark out, often. But once Spring hits (or whatever season you want to call this), I’m ready for some brighter colors. After being in dark, heavy layers all winter, I’m ready for lightweight, ladylike looks right now. When I think of warm weather outfits, I think pink or yellow hues.<\/p>\n

This year I’ve been embracing a lot of yellow – maybe because the sun was on hiatus for so long. And I’ve also been playing with various shades of my other favorite color – pink. Pink is soft and pretty, and yellow is sunny and bright, and both colors get me in the mood for sunshine and summertime. I’ve been on a pink kick for a while now. I rarely wear one color from head-to-toe, (unless it’s black). But I couldn’t pass up pairing this pink pearl embellished top with a matching pink skirt, and complementary accessories. And of course, I had to add a matching trench, because you never know what this weather is going to bring!<\/p>\n
