I’m such a lover of pretty, colorful things. But to love these things means I must also respect the process it takes to arrive at ‘pretty’. For instance, I’m obsessed with butterflies. I adore their beauty, and their free-spiritedness as they flutter around in the air. They fly gracefully, and seemingly with purpose. But on the flipside, I’m no fan of caterpillars, which of course is how butterflies get started off in life. But to love the butterfly, you have to appreciate the progression from creepy crawly critter, then off to the cocoon for transformation to the beautiful butterflies we see flying by us. Just like rainstorms produce the most beautiful rainbows. We see the beauty in the outcomes, but have to appreciate and value the storms, the renovations we have to experience on our way to the beautiful blessings. I listen to Joyce Meyer every day, and she often talks about “rainbow days.” Everyone wants and looks forward to rainbow days, but the truth is you can find a rainbow in every day \u2013 no matter the storm! I make a point to find something special, a blessing, or something that makes me happy, every single day. Do you look for ‘rainbows’ in your days?

Speaking of rainbows, what’s on my radar this Spring are rainbow stripes. They’re cute, colorful and ubiquitous. You can find multicolored striped tops, pants, dresses and skirts at every price point, and every size. Bright stripes are an easy way to add a dose of color to your look, while avoiding getting too trendy. I picked up this shirt from ASOS awhile back.
