\nLipsticks are the one beauty product I can’t ever have enough of! If you saw my makeup collection, you would know \u2013 I own a lot. But with so many colors and ‘styles’ (matte, glossy, creamy, liquid, frosted, etc.) it’s hard to NOT to try them all.<\/p>\n

While I never change my foundation and powder, I change lipsticks on a daily basis. The color and formulation I wear really depends on the seasons, my outfits, and my mood. For Spring, I prefer pinks and purples. And now that Spring is here, it’s the perfect time for me test out a new collection of colors. I recently received this Cailyn CosmeticsMatte Tint Trio Set<\/a> for review. The trio I received was the Purple Lilac set with three hues: Fantasist (pink), Surrealist (purple) and Corruptionist (deep purple).

I\u2019ve tried other liquid mattes before, and I love using them because they go on smooth and are typically easy to apply. And this Cailyn set was no different. Each one, when applied, first went on fairly wet, and stayed wet for a while, which made it easy to apply multiple layers, and touch up. Once the shades dry on your lips, they can get dry \u2013 they’re matte, of course \u2013 so I kept my lips moisturized before applying.<\/p>\n

\nFor the lightest color (Fantasist), I applied about 3-4 layers to get full coverage. The color is a very pretty light pink, which I can see myself wearing in the summer. But most likely I’ll probably pair it with the middle color, to create an ombre lip, or I’ll just blend the two colors together.

\nSurrealist is a gorgeous purple orchid hue, and it’s along the line of colors I like to wear. The purple really pops, but it’s not too light or too dark that I’d feel the need to amp it up or pair it down.<\/p>\n

Cailyn Pure Lust Extreme Matte Tint 16 \u2013 Corruptionist<\/a>

\nThe last color in the set is Corruptionist, a really dark, almost black purple. I’m a fan of super dark lips, but not for everyday wear, of course. This shade only needed one application \u2013 of course you can add more if you want to go darker.
