\nI have a ton of skincare products in my beauty arsenal, specifically, facial cleansers galore! But surprisingly, I have never purchased or even used a facial cleansing device. When I wash my face, I just use a washcloth, exfoliating facial sponge or my hands. I know, I know – what kind of beauty editor am I?!?! I’ve read so many reviews on facial cleansing devices, ranging from ‘it was good’ to ‘your life will never be the same once you use this!’ But I just never tried one. <\/p>\n

Recently, I had the opportunity to speak to several FOREO reps and learned more about their latest beauty devices. FOREO sent me their special edition LUNA\u2122 mini 2<\/a>\"icon\" device to test, so I could finally try one out for myself! This particular one was created especially for their Save the Sea<\/a>\"icon\" campaign, which I’ll tell you more about in a bit. But first, here my review of the FOREO LUNA Mini 2<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

\nThe Save the Sea LUNA mini 2<\/a>\"icon\" is a small, blue, rounded face brush featuring an adorable image of two sea turtles on the front. It has a center impression button, where you turn on the device, and + \/ \u2013 buttons to increase\/decrease the speed. The FOREO LUNA mini 2<\/a>\"icon\" is an optimized version of the original. <\/p>\n

The updated, 3-zone facial brush includes:
\n\u2022 A 50% bigger brush head for more efficient cleansing
\n\u2022 Longer and softer touch-points to extend reach and enhance cleansing
\n\u2022 8 speed intensities for customized cleansing
\n\u2022 A thicker silicone body for enhanced comfort and performance and a more powerful motor <\/p>\n

The silicone bristles on the front are small and fine, and soft and plush, and are designed to gently cleanse sensitive and normal skin. On the flip side, the bristles are thicker, broader and more rigid, providing a deeper clean for oilier skin. If you’re a facial cleansing brush newbie like me, FOREO is a great device to use because it cleanses your face oh-so-so gently! The T-Sonic pulsations are designed to remove 99.5% of dirt, oil, makeup residue and dead skin cells. The LUNA mini 2<\/a>\"icon\" exfoliates without any irritation! Sweet! Plus, it’s 100% waterproof so you can take it in the shower with you.<\/p>\n

\nThe LUNA mini 2<\/a>\"icon\" was so quick and easy to begin using. I took it out of its clear packaging, just gave it a quick charge by hooking it up to my computer’s USB port with the provided cord, and after a short while it was ready to go! (One, 1-hour charge juices up the device for five full months). Once I turned it on, it pulsated gently, but you can adjust the speed per your own personal preference (there are 8 speed settings). I dampened my face and applied my favorite cleanser, with my hands. Then I got to work, massaging the LUNA mini 2<\/a>\"icon\" in circular motions on my cheeks, then my forehead, nose and chin (T-zone). The total recommended time of use is 1 minute on your face.<\/p>\n

\nThis was my first experience using a facial cleansing brush, and I was more than pleased with it! It really felt like I was giving my face a gentle massage. But meanwhile, it was getting deep into my pores, cleansing and removing all the impurities, from makeup, oil and sweat, touching my face throughout the day, the environment, etc. I think about how intensely I shampoo and condition my scalp when I wash my hair. I make sure to scrub it clean to remove all the impurities. So why don’t I do the same for my face? The FOREO LUNA mini 2<\/a>\"icon\" is a deep cleaning device for your face. And now that I have it, I don’t know why it took me so long to try it!<\/p>\n
