Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably know that Star Wars Episode 75050437 (ok, ok, it’s called “Star Wars: Episode VII \u2014 The Force Awakens<\/strong><\/em>“) hits theaters this week. I remember being super excited when “The Empire Strikes Back<\/em><\/strong>” hit theaters when I was a kid. I love all the Star Wars franchise but over the years, I’ve become less excited about the actual movies and more about the marketing and branded merchandise for them. I’m a beauty lover, so I’ve been especially excited about CoverGirl’s Star Wars collection. Any excuse to try new makeup is a good one, right?! And as a self-proclaimed lipstick addict, I was particularly excited to try these CoverGirl Star Wars Limited Edition Colorlicious Lipsticks<\/a> in six cool colors.

Inspired by the “Light Side<\/strong>” and the “Dark Side<\/strong>” of The Force (Star Wars reference, of course), the lipsticks come in intergalactic shades like\u00a0silver metallic, a shimmery lilac and an equally shimmery nude, a deep red, an even deeper burgundy and an orange-y gold. CoverGirl lipsticks have never disappointed me so I had high expectations. And these all fit the bill. The shimmery, metallic lipsticks were shiny and smooth and could be easily paired with another lipstick underneath. The Silver #10, when applied, needed more coats than the others, but still I loved the finished look.\u00a0The two deeper hues\u00a0(Red 30 and Dark Purple 50) went on STRONG and left a surprise lip stain after wiping them off. The Dark Purple color left a fun bright pink stain on my lips, so it really felt like I was getting two lipsticks in one!
