\nLast week I was invited to the Swarovski Creative Services Showroom<\/strong> to meet Victoria’s Secret<\/a> Angel<\/strong> Barbara Fialho<\/strong> and check out one of the most unique costumes from the 2013 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show<\/strong>!

\nTo celebrate the 11th year of Swarovski<\/a> being the crystal sponsor of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show<\/strong>, the two brands decided to create something extra special this year. Swarovski, the global leader in cut crystal and fashion jewelry, and lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret, joined forces to bring 3D technology to the 2013 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. This year’s show features, for the first time, sparkling Swarovski costumes created using 3D printing.
\n\"Lindsay<\/a>
\nThe high-tech costume I saw was specially designed by architect Bradley Rothenberg<\/strong> in conjunction with 3D printing company, Shapeways<\/strong>. To create it, they first took a 3D scan of Lindsay Ellingson<\/strong>‘s body, then used 3D computer printing technology to create the geometric filigree snowflake motif that was then encrusted with millions of Swarovski crystals. The corset-style costume was worn by Ellingson in the Snow Angel portion of the show. In addition to Lindsay’s costume, 20 other sparkly, custom creations will be modeled in the show by some of Victoria’s Secrets’ most famous Angels, like Adriana Lima<\/strong>, Alessandra Ambrosio<\/strong>, Karlie Kloss<\/strong>, Doutzen Kroes<\/strong>, Lily Aldridge<\/strong>, Candice Swanepoel<\/strong> and Behati Prinsloo<\/strong>. All footwear was provided by Nicholas Kirkwood<\/strong>.

The 2013 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show airs tonight<\/strong>, Tuesday, December 10 at 10\/9C on CBS<\/strong>. This year’s show features musical performances by Taylor Swift<\/strong>, Fall Out Boy<\/strong>, Neon Jungle<\/strong>, and A Great Big World<\/strong>, pink carpet interviews, supermodel profiles, and a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the world’s most celebrated fashion show!
