I was excitedly making my way through the International Beauty Show<\/a> at the Javits Center in New York when I stopped by the Magic Sleek<\/strong> booth to learn about their hair straightening system. I’ve never had my hair straightened before and was really impressed with the idea of straight, shiny hair without using harsh chemicals. Wasn’t I lucky when the owners of the company offered to give me a Magic Sleek treatment right there at the booth?!<\/p>\n

Magic Sleek uses a three-step, formaldehyde-free process incorporating natural ingredients from the Amazon rain forest. The result is hair that is sleek and straight for up to 6 months. As a woman with a lifetime of curly and frizzy hair, this sounded like a miracle!

\nI was very excited to try it but unsure about losing all my curls, entirely. We decided to go for ‘straight with a little wave’. The first step was to wash my hair three times with the Step 1 solution. This removed any oils and residue in my hair and got it ready for the treatment. After washing, my hair was dried completely. Then, the Step 2 solution was applied to my head for 35 minutes (if I wanted my hair to be totally straight, it would have stayed on for 45 minutes). After that, the Step 3 solution was put onto my hair for 7 minutes. Then, my hair was rinsed with water, blown dry and ironed straight. This ‘locks in’ the straightening. The entire process took about 2 hours and my hair was silky, shiny, straight, and GORGEOUS! I felt like a rockstar leaving the Beauty Show that night.<\/p>\n

The great thing about Magic Sleek is that you can wash your hair as soon as the process is complete. You don’t need to use any additional styling products and your hair stays silky and beautiful. It had no bad odors and no chemicals, and actually improved the condition of my hair, thanks to the treatment.
