\nBlack has always been my default color. I subscribe to my own personal fashion<\/a> rule, “When in doubt, wear black.” After realizing in college how full of black clothing my closet was, I began venturing out into buying\/wearing more color. But there’s no replacement for the classic black fashion item, the LBD or little black dress.

\nTo me, the little black dress is THE most classic fashion item, bringing to mind a glamorous Audrey Hepburn<\/strong> in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s<\/strong><\/em>“. (I even had a so-themed bridal shower, where everyone was instructed to wear LBD’s). So when I was contacted by Muse to pick out a dress from their site<\/a>, I instantly went for a modern take on my favorite.<\/p>\n

This Faux Jacket Dress<\/a> immediately caught my eye. I love that it looks a bit like a cape (makes me feel like a fashion superhero). The bodice is figure flattering and the attached jacket\/cape is added fun. It comes with a belt but you can remove it and add your own fun details, like a print belt, or perhaps a wider belt around the jacket\/cape portion. All in all it’s a fun dress and a great new addition to my closet. You can never have enough LBD’s, after all!
