\nWe’ve featured – and worn – our fair share of funky, chunky footwear<\/a>, but these really take the cake! Dutch fashion<\/a> brands United Nude and Iris van Herpen<\/a> collaborated to create these amazing, and slightly scary, “Thorn” booties, so named for their spiky, thorned heels.<\/p>\n

Here’s the deets: the shoes are 7.4″ high (!!!) and feature a circular pattern of ‘thorns’ made from hand-cut semi-precious stones.<\/p>\n

The shoes<\/a> made their debut on the runway last week during 2012\u00a0Paris Couture Week at van Herpen’s Autumn\/Winter 2012 haute couture<\/a> show, “Hybrid Holism<\/strong>“. And this isn’t the first time the Dutch designers have collaborated. They previously teamed up to create these scary, toothy shoes<\/a> for van Herpen’s Spring 2012 couture collection.<\/p>\n
