Following the successful launch of the “You Can’t Fake Fashion” campaign last year, eBay<\/strong> and the Council of Fashion Designers of America<\/strong> (CFDA) are continuing the fight against fakes with a new collection of original totes. There are more than 75 CFDA designers \u2013 including Diane von Furstenberg<\/strong>, Tory Burch<\/strong>, BCBGMAXAZRIA<\/strong>, Tracy Reese<\/strong>, and\u00a0Betsey Johnson<\/strong>\u00a0– participating in the 2012 “You Can’t Fake Fashion<\/strong>” Campaign.\u00a0 The initiative will raise awareness against counterfeit goods, with each designer creating a one-of-a-kind tote.<\/p>\n

Starting today at 8 a.m. PT\/11 a.m. ET, four basic totes will be available\u00a0at eBay’s Fashion Vault<\/a> for $45,\u00a0and the customized totes will have a Buy-It-Now price of $200. “The awareness around counterfeits generated by the campaign was invaluable and we hope to see even more of a reaction from industry and consumers this time around<\/em>,” said Alan Marks, eBay’s senior vice president of global communications. “Based on consumer demand, we\u2019ve doubled the size of the collection in addition to offering more styles<\/em>.” All proceeds will benefit the CFDA Foundation.<\/p>\n
