\nIn this season filled with over-the-top colored denim, maxi skirts<\/a>, polka dots and colorblock<\/a>, we’ve been taking notice of a more subtle trend<\/a> \u2013 leather tops and shirts. As seen on the Fall 2011<\/a> runways at 3.1 Phillip Lim<\/a>, C\u00e9line<\/a>, and The Row<\/a>, leather tops can add another level of sophistication to tailored trousers and skirts, or a bit of edge when paired with jeans<\/a> or leggings. Though we can’t say they’re highly practical (trust us, you’ll get hot \u2013 quickly!), we still love how they look. They’re just as fashionable<\/a> and versatile as leather jackets so you can wear them however you like. Dress them down with contrast color jeans or even chic sweatpants; or jazz them up with a stunning statement necklace paired with a pencil skirt and booties. The only thing we’d recommend against wearing them with is more leather<\/a>! Less is more.<\/p>\n
